• The Prince of the Eastern Province inaugurates the "My Industry 2023" Exhibition

    His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince  of the Eastern Province, inaugurated on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, the "My Craftsmanship 2023 AD" exhibition, which is organized by the Asharqia Chamber in its sixth edition, for a period of 5 days at the Dhahran Exhibition Center "Expo", with the participation of 300 productive families and owners of crafts and businesses. handicrafts, 25 NGOs and 5 government agencies.

      His Highness appreciated the empowerment of productive families and the opportunity for them to participate in this exhibition, stressing the wise leadership's support for the creations and talents of all sons and daughters of the country, especially the talents that have added value.

    The exhibition aims to develop and qualify local producers, craftsmen, and artisans, helping them market their products and introduce themselves to the public. It also seeks to encourage and motivate them to establish their own projects.

     

    His Royal Highness, the Prince of the Eastern Province, honored the sponsors and supporters of the "My Industry 2023" Exhibition, both from governmental and private entities. He received a plaque bearing the identity of the sixth edition of the exhibition and toured the event. During his visit, he received an explanation from Badr bin Suleiman Al-Ruzaiza, the Chairman of the Chamber, about the exhibition, its pavilions, corners, and its goals aimed at promoting the culture of freelancing among local producers, craftsmen, and artisans. His Royal Highness expressed his admiration for the exhibition and the offerings of the participants.

    On his part, Al-Ruzaiza clarified that the exhibition is aligned with the Chamber's support for Vision 2030 objectives. It contributes to diversifying the economic base according to a comprehensive strategic plan for various economic sectors, including the sector of local producers, craftsmen, and artisans. This sector holds both economic and social value. He noted that the exhibition works towards equipping participants with the necessary skills, aiming to transform them into entities that add value to the regional economy. It also aims to foster their development and growth, enabling them to establish sustainable sources of income.

    He further mentioned that this edition of the exhibition targets over 300 local producing families, aiming to enhance their contributions in developing their activities and marketing their products. The booths have been allocated to these families, craftsmen, and artisans free of charge. He noted that the participants were selected based on a set of criteria, and prior to the exhibition, a series of progressive training courses and programs were conducted in collaboration with the Social Development Bank to prepare the participants.

    He also stated that a printed and electronic guide has been provided for visitors, containing the names of all participating families, craftsmen, and artisans, along with details about their products. This includes their contact information, making it easier for visitors to continue engaging with them beyond the exhibition and facilitating the ongoing marketing of their products throughout the year.

     

    The exhibition includes participation from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's branch in the Eastern Province, the Eastern Province Council for Social Responsibility, the Social Development Bank's branch in the Eastern Province, the Heritage Authority's branch in the Eastern Province, in addition to the Saudi Arab Arts Association in Dammam.​
